Model Description
Amud - otherwise known as the cantor's desk. It is a sloping table or countertop located near the Aron-ha kodesh, at which the person leading the prayers ( shaliach tzibur, chazan) stands. A tablet with a psalm verse called a shiviti is placed on the amud.
