By registering with or using the DFG 3D‑Viewer platform (the “Service”), you agree to abide by these Terms of Use (the “Agreement”). Your continued use constitutes acceptance of any future updates.

1. General Conditions

The DFG 3D‑Viewer is open for browsing and downloading published content. Use of data is subject to licensing terms attached to each entry.

2. Access & Registration

To upload data, you must register your drupal account. Manual approval is done by administrators, and may take a few days

3. Data Use & Licensing

All published data is licensed on a per-entry basis. Users must comply with the license terms when reusing content.

4. Knowledge Graph & Ontology

Content is integrated into a knowledge graph based on the OntSciDoc3D ontology, adhering to FAIR principles and Linked Open Data standards. Administrators may remove duplicates to ensure data clarity.

5. Project Lifespan Guarantee

We commit to maintain the repository for the duration of the DFG 3D‑Viewer project. After the project ends, availability may be reassessed.

6. Migration to CoVHer Repository

While the lifespan of this repository is subject to project completion, we are actively migrating data to the CoVHer repository, which supports equivalent functionality.

7. Responsibility Note

The DFG 3D‑Viewer provides a framework for the scientific publication of 3D models. We do not verify the scientific accuracy, correctness, or quality of user‑uploaded content. Users upload material at their own risk.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to revoke access or deactivate accounts that violate this Agreement or misuse the Service.

9. Intellectual Property

Users retain ownership of their uploaded content. By uploading, you confirm you hold all necessary rights. All users must comply with copyright, privacy, and other applicable laws.

10. Disclaimer & Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” DFG 3D‑Viewer operators disclaim any warranties regarding availability or fitness for purpose. Liability, where legally permitted, is limited to direct damages.

11. Changes to Agreement

We may update this Agreement at any time. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
