Model Description

The Information, Communication and Media Center (Informations-, Kommunikations- und Medienzentrum, IKMZ) is an institution of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg at the Cottbus site. It serves as a library, multimedia, computer center and supports the internal data processing of the university.

The building was designed by architects Herzog & de Meuron. As a result of their 2nd prize in the Campus Masterplan competition, they were awarded the contract for the new library building in 1998. The building was completed in 2004.

The facade is made entirely of glass, printed with a disorderly pattern of white letters.
